The Learning Standards Technical Committee (LSTC) is organizing an E-learning Standards Seminar on Friday, 7 Nov 2008. Since its founding in July 2000, the LSTC has been organizing an annual seminar to share and disseminate information on the local and international developments in the e-learning standards area.

For this year, the LSTC would like to share on some new trends in the e-learning standards world such as the reusability of learning objects, assessments that can be incorporated in learning objects, Generative Learning Objects (GLOs) and the impending SCORM 2.0 specification.

Participants in our seminar will also be invited to participate in an interactive workshop in the afternoon in which demonstrations on providing different learning paths using the SCORM 2004 Specification will be provided. Thereafter, discussions will be held on the future of international e-learning standards like the proposed SCORM 2.0.

This seminar will appeal to those who are working in the learning, education and training areas, especially to those who want to know how the new standards will impact the future of learning.
