This seminar is organised by the Cards and Personal Identification Technical Committee of the ITSC. The seminar will provide an overview of SS529 - Singapore Standard for Smart Card ID, its key features and applications. The SSID is based on the e-passport specifications developed by ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation), and enables both applications and readers to read ID cards from multiple issuers, thus achieving greater interoperability and reduced implementation costs. The seminar would be of interest to industry professionals as well as organisations issuing identity cards.

In conjunction with the seminar, there will also be a mini exhibition to showcase SSID compliant solutions which have been deployed in actual infrastructure projects.
